I just want to say I love your books so much! You really are a brilliant artist when it comes to writing. The connection I can make to people characters in the series, especially Thor are outstanding. I truly admire your writing ability. I just finished the seventh book minutes ago and cannot wait until I can buy the next! Truly amazing.

ReplyDeleteLike the many other blog(ers) I thoroughly agree on the positive reviews and statements regarding Morgan's writing. The Sorcerers Ring is an exceptional read, and as I tent to only read epic fantasy a writer must really do well to earn my regard as I've hundreds of books which I can use when deciding the merit an author has for my reading library. I've read only up to and including book 7, not that I don't have all 12, because the gap between releases is a length of time which requires me to read other epic sages in between, I cannot abide ever not having a book on the go.
ReplyDeleteI stopped because there's a definite extra quality to be experienced when reading epic sagas when you've the opportunity to read them back-to-back and a certain loss when you read the new volume in the saga without completely remembering all that come before it. So if you've not been able to presume where I'm heading I'll voice the question I have: are you presently aware of which volume number the epic is likely to finish at?
Please don't interpret this to be a desire for wanting it to finish, it's more a symptom of my impatience in assessing when I'm likely to be able to wind the clock back and read from start to finish :-). I've been meaning to ask since book number 10 but have only just now bitten the colloquial bullet and I sincerely hope no offence is taken as I truly do not ask because I think the story needs finalising, although I suspect an inherent potential trap for epic creators is an indecisive tendency to not know when and where a story suitably finishes.
